Despite its grim sounding name, HangMan is a traditional, enjoyable and accessible word game for people of all ages. BrainGamez.com's online version is even better since it draws from a database of hundreds of words.
Playing is simple. You will be presented with a picture of some gallows and a string of asterisks (*). These asterisks represent the letters of the word (or words) that you have to guess.
You must guess one letter at a time. If you choose a letter that is contained within the word, an asterisk will be replaced with that letter, giving you a better chance of working out the word.
If you guess a letter not within the word, one 'life' will be deducted from your original ten and part of the 'HangMan' will appear on the gallows.
You must guess the correct word before you lose all your lives. If you don't, the man will be hanged and you lose the game.
Notes:
Each time you start a game of HangMan, you will be given a different word. There are hundreds of possible words, so you could play hundreds of times.
